Alice Seatherton has been experimenting with making rocks for the inuit's arctic home. She used very dense foam and painted it. The first attempt at a snow covered rock looked a little flat as she painted the snow on. I suggested she use a salt and sugar mix to add texture and make the snow exist in a 3D physical space. This looked better but it still looked a little flat and as though it was painted on, so I suggested she thicken it up a bit. The experiments are ongoing and updates will follow. The texture of the foam works well though, as does using shades of blue to colour the rocks,
